The details are complete. I finished the last of them just two days ago and have them packed into a few small boxes waiting to be applied. Their is so much more to do. Plan out the space where the mill will sit. Understanding the contour. The water depth in the pond is another question.
I finished up two more pieces this week; a log pond boat and a log carriage with log that will sit inside the old mill. I chain will be attached to the front end of the carriage and made to look as if the log carrying carriage is being hauled into the old mill.
Here are a few pics of this build.
The mill walls will go up soon and all the details of the new mill will be added. This is going to take well into the spring before that is completed. Its exciting to see the progress from this past year and I look forward to getting the mill off of the modeling table and onto the layout. Some friends want to start operating again, mostly because we've all had our COVID-19 shots and yea we miss operating. The layout has stood mostly idle while the mill project surged ahead. Work needs to be done on the layout before its ready to roll. There is always something!
